GETTING STARTED
Little Athletics is a family sport.
Parents play a big role in creating a fun and supportive environment.
By being involved you’ll:
Spend quality time with your kids on Saturday mornings
Connect with other families in the community
Help run events and training (no experience needed – training provided)
Show your children that you value their effort and fun
A TYPICAL SATURDAY AT LANDY FIELD
Arrive by 8:10am for warm-up, first events start 8:15am
Parking inspectors patrol – take care
Bring a chair/picnic rug – limited shade and seating
Be SunSmart – hat, sunscreen, water
Club base: west end of Landy Field, next to Competition Office
Uniform with ID patch must be worn
Athletes usually compete in 5 events (3 track + 2 field)
DUTY & VOLUNTEERING
Families rostered ~1 in 3 weeks
Roles include high jump, walks, set-up/pack-up
Report to Roster Coordinator by 8:15am
Positive encouragement only – no coaching during events
Duty lasts 3–4 hours or until last event
Weekly results on ResultsHQ
Check after each comp day
Remove patches before washing uniform;
See committee for replacements (small fee)
